Registration Tax - Vehicle tax rates excise

A vehicle registered in the United Kingdom should be taxed if used or kept on public roads.

Staying off the road or vehicle must be taxed or have a SORN (statutory off road notification).

Formally known as Vehicle Excise Duty (VED) progressive or tea, the amount of car tax you pay depends on the size of the motor car or an officer of CO2 emissions and the date of first registration.

Vehicles first registered after March 1, 2001
